Monday Afternoon Roundup 1.14.13

Hello friends, and Happy Monday.  I'm getting to this a little later in the day because this is the first time I've been able to sit down.  Craziness.

Does anyone else's living room resemble this?  Before we had kids, The Mister and I talked about what kind of parents we wanted to be and one thing that came up was that we wanted unrestricted access to art supplies.  Fast forward five years, and our house really does look like the kids have unrestricted access to art supplies.  I just didn't know every vertical surface would become a gallery.

So what do you do?  When little Renoir churns out 20 pages of new Angry Birds levels in an afternoon, you can't matte and frame every one of them.  Here are a few ideas about What to do with your kids' art.  I like the photo book idea myself.

Have you been wondering what the color palette for an entire movie would look like?  Movie Barcode.  OK, after a while, they all kind of look the same.

I had a lot more fun playing around with TinEye Labs Multicolr Search, which finds images in Flickr's Creative Commons based on colors you pick.

Here's an interesting account of how a guy came up with a science to getting on The Price Is Right.

And, just because we're getting around to watching Season 2 of Portlandia on Netflix, here's one of the funny ones: Outdoor Movie.  There is some truth to this.

That's it for this week's random links.  Have a nice afternoon!
