Happy Monday, friends!
Part of my plan to stay sane this winter is to have fresh flowers in the house at all times. Unfortunately, some don't last more than a few days, but these lilies have been going strong for a week. Boo has commented, "those flowers look happy." I agree. I usually prefer tulips to lilies, but there's something inspiring about looking at these big, strong flowers every day.
OK. We've survived some pretty cold days here in Minnesota. But what happens in L.A. when the temps dip below 50 degrees? Los Angeles Overreacts to Cold Temperatures. Wusses.

This is hilarious and true: 46 Reasons My Three Year-Old Might Be Freaking Out
I'm trying out this new (free) app: Done Not Done. It keeps track of a more "fun" To Do list with categories like Watch, Listen, and Read. You can share lists with friends, and recommend and rate things once you do them. It might be worth playing around with.
Finally, I'm looking for some help. Has anyone used the Kideos app for iPad? Or is there another good kid-friendly video-watching app? The issue in our house is that the kids will be watching something cute on YouTube, and then click over on one of the recommended videos on the side of the screen, which usually leads to them seeing or hearing something like an Angry Birds parody music video that contains the lyrics "screw the pigs". True story.
We have 46 days until Spring, people. The rest of winter almost seems manageable from now on.
Have a happy week!
